Path to Glory Leaderboard Competition Rules

Official Event Rules

By participating in the Path to Glory Leaderboard Competition (the “Event”), Participants agree to be bound by these Official Event Rules (the “Rules”), which are binding and final on matters relating to this Event.

1.  SUMMARY:

Now that Level 80 is the cap on Saga of Blood, we’re switching gears with Leaderboards.  From now on until the end of Saga of Blood, we’re running 2-week “seasons” where you can compete for in-game prizes by placing at the top of the leaderboards.  

We’re looking at the PvP Kills leaderboards - the top 5 overall killers will earn in-game gold, Hoards of Blood, Bloodstained Treasure Chests, and the Shawl of Selkhet - a special vanity cloak.  Additionally, the #1 killer for each class will earn a similar prize pack of in-game gold, Hoards of Blood, and Bloodstained Treasure Chests, and the cloak.  You can double-dip these rewards; if you’re the #1 overall killer and the #1 Barbarian, for example, you’ll get both prize packs!

In-game gold will be awarded to the top 10 PvP Kills for the "Level Cap 80" and "Path to Glory" seasons on Saga of Blood, and the top 5 will receive some combination of Hoards of Blood and Bloodstained Treasure Chests.  additionally, 1 person per class (of 12 classes, so 12 individuals) will receive an additional prize pack similar to the overall winners. 

2.  HOW TO ENTER:

Simply log into the Saga of Blood Server beginning on  November 22 at 10:00 AM EST and engage in PVP until  December 6 at 10:00 AM EST.

Update December 7 2018: A new season is up and will run until December 20 2018 at 10:00 AM EST.  This will use "Path to Glory 1" on the Leaderboard.

NO ENTRY FEE OR MINIMUM LEVEL REQUIRED.

3.  ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for the Event, you (“Participant”) must:

• be 16 or older;
• have a valid Age of Conan account

Employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives of Funcom and their immediate family members (defined as spouse, mother, father, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, grandparents and in-laws, regardless of where they live) and those living in their household (whether or not related), and each person or entity connected with the production or administration of the Event, and each parent company, affiliate, subsidiary, agent and representative of Funcom are not eligible.

Funcom may disqualify any Participant in its sole discretion for any reason, including without limitation if Funcom determines Participant is cheating, hacking, harassing, using abusive or offensive language, colluding, account sharing, teaming, sabotaging, spamming, engaging in social engineering, scamming, or otherwise violating terms of service, End User License Agreements, Terms of Service or any game codes of conduct.

4.  PRIZES:

The following prizes will be awarded to each Finalist based on his or her placement within the Level Cap 80 & "Path to Glory 1" PvP Kills Leaderboard at the conclusion of the Event.  ALL PRIZES ARE VIRTUAL AND HAVE NO VALUE OUTSIDE OF GAME. PRIZES WILL ONLY BE AWARDED TO THE PARTICIPATING CHARACTERS THAT WIN (NOT TO ALTERNATE CHARACTERS)

TOP FINALIST BY CLASS RECEIVES ADDITIONAL REWARD EQUAL TO 2^nd PLACE FINALIST ($22.50 Value)
 
PRIZES MAY BE  SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL INCOME TAX AND IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH WINNING FINALIST TO (I) CHECK WITH HIS OR HER LOCAL TAX ADVISOR TO DETERMINE WHICH TAXES APPLY TO HIM OR HER AND (II) PAY SUCH TAXES TO THE APPROPRIATE TAX AUTHORITY.   

5.  CONDITIONS:  

By participating in this event , Participants agree: (i) to be bound by these complete Rules and agree that the decisions of Funcom shall be final and binding; and (ii) to waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Event or Rules except where prohibited by law. By accepting a prize, the winning Participant agrees to release Funcom from any and all liability, loss or damage arising from or in connection with awarding, receipt and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any prize-related activities.

Funcom shall not be liable for: (i) telephone system, telephone, or computer hardware, software, or other technical or computer malfunctions, lost connections, disconnections, delays or transmission errors; (ii) data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry or other materials; (iii) any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of a prize, or from participation in the Event; or (iv) any printing, typographical, administrative, or technological errors in any materials associated with the Event. Funcom  reserves the right to cancel or suspend the Event in its sole discretion or due to circumstances beyond its control and may disqualify any Participant from participating in the Event or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines such Participant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Event by cheating, hacking, deception, or any other unfair playing practices intending to annoy, abuse, threaten, undermine, or harass any other Participants. 

6.  PUBLICITY:  

Funcom  reserves the right to use the Character name, likeness, and/or Guild Name  of any Participant, for publicity purposes prior to, during, or after the Event end date, in any media, throughout the world, in perpetuity, but only in connection with publicizing the Event, without any compensation or prior review unless specifically prohibited by law.

7.  Reservation of Rights by SPONSOR

Funcom reserves the right, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to terminate, cancel, modify or suspend this Contest, in whole or in part, if fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Funcom’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of this Contest as determined by Funcom in its sole discretion.

 If this Contest or any web site associated therewith (or any portion thereof) becomes corrupted or otherwise does not permit entry due to computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by entrants, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, in Funcom's sole opinion, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper operation of this Contest, Funcom reserves the right, at its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by applicable law, to disqualify any individual implicated in such action, and/or to cancel, terminate, cancel, modify or suspend this Contest, in whole or in part. Any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any online service or web site or undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made Funcom hereby reserves the right to seek damages and/or other remedies from any such person to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

8.  Governing Law; Jurisdiction

These Official Rules are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Norway without giving effect to its conflicts of law rules. Each entrant hereby submits himself or herself to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts located in Oslo, Norway.

9. PRIZE CLAIMS: Winners of the event may be viewed on the leaderboard after December 6^th, 2018 and again on December 20^th on the forums. Prizes can be claimed in game by the end of Saga of Blood (end date TBA) .
